The entire Time 100 is bilious. [Gawker]

For some reason, I think this commercial is cute:

I don’t know why Elizabeth Edwards wrote a book. I guess I have this fantasy that the most intimate and hurtful details of your life are best saved for extensive therapy sessions; not as a means to monetize the pain.  Also, I’m praying that Megan McAllister, the former fiancee of accused killer Philip Markoff goes to a stellar therapist but never writes a book.

No one stays married anymore. [AV Club]

The country of Laos is going to kill this pregnant woman. [BBC, h/t: The Field Negro]

Dear Michelle Bachmann and Carrie Prejean:  Don’t ever stop being the face of bigotry and ignorance for the country. Whatever you must do, don’t ever stop finding a microphone to spew your unenlightened and toxic thought bubbles.  Thnx, TB

The new Yankee Stadium is okay but I still would have preferred the money the city used for it went to improving service on the MTA, you know?  Thanks Mayor Mike! Also a burger and chicken fingers with fries was $19.50 and a beer costs $9!  Damn! [NY Daily News]

Groupies do stuff that I would never do. [Tales From A Groupie]

Why are white people so damn obsessed with a black woman’s do? Seriously, I do take issue with white people discussing the care, maintenance and meaning of our hair.  I mean, what the fuck do they know about it other than using it as a handy weapon of judgment, scorn or derision? I’m coming from a place where people have asked to touch my hair or mockingly called me Sinead when I had a very low Caesar.  I’m not touchy about my hair choices but I am touchy about people being convinced that it’s a shortcut to knowing everything there is to know about me.  Meanwhile, when HRC, Nancy Pelosi or some other white woman in power does her hair — it’s considered one aspect of them — not the main aspect.  I stay out of their kitchen and they need to stay the fuck out of mine. And yeah, most white people don’t get the kitchen reference so that just makes me even more pissed. And no, I’m not telling what it means.  I’m salty like that.  [HuffPo]
