For those of you who feel sorry for Sarah Palin….
November 11, 2008 · 1 Comment

Mean Girl for President 2012!
…I share the following from Newsweek’s ‘Secrets of the 2008 Campaign]:
Sarah Palin, due to the fact that McCain had no platform during his Presidential run, was assigned the task of throwing coded slurs at Obama. Anti-American! Socialism! Terrorist! Redistributor! Muslim! Her screeching on the campaign trail appealed to certain Americans who take comfort in ignorance and fear and shun all original thought. She preyed on their biases. Again and again and again.
(An aside: What the $%$^@$^ BB are these people in the video doing today? How are they coping? Are they doing crystal meth? Having sex with their children? Reading the Bible while watching Fox News and listening to Rush Lardbucket? Committing mass suicides? One can only hope.]
There should be no tears for Sarah Palin. Zero forgiveness. TFB that she is now the victim of slurs and innuendo from unnamed McCain operatives. Did she think she would be immune because she did the bidding of McCain’s version of The Three Stooges, Mark Salter, Steve Schmidt and Rick Davis and they liked her?
So when she comes sleazing her inarticulate, science mocking, delusional, lying ass back to be the face of Rethuglicans for 2012 under the cloak of Christian hypocrisy, Americans who know better should rebuke her because we don’t believe in divisiveness and ugliness as a way of life.

McCain Owes Sarah Some Straight Talk [Wall Street Journal] (I enjoyed this because of the wobbly comparison of Barack’s intellect to Sarah’s. It must be so hard to be a Republican right now because they are reduced to making laughable assertions and I LOVE IT!)

But he vented frustration at the way McCain thrust him into the spotlight by mentioning him more than a dozen times during a televised debate with Barack Obama, in which Wurzelbacher was held as an example of an aspirational working man.
“I was unhappy that my name was used as much as it was because I think there were real other issues that should’ve been discussed during the debate,” said Wurzelbacher. “I was happy that I was used as a focal point but I didn’t think I was going to be the only point.”
Seemingly disillusioned by his treatment during the election, Wurzelbacher continued: “You know, fame is fleeting, leaves you hungry, leaves you cold, leaves you tired. Fortune never comes with it.
Why do I get the feeling that he’s miffed that McCain didn’t send Cindy’s jet to fly him out to Phoenix? I think Joe protests too much — he can start getting paid to make promotional appearances and possibly become a reality show contestant? Or get his own show on HGTV?

It feels good to finally make it to Election Day.
November 4, 2008 · 1 Comment
This was my chance to do my part to end the past eight years of disastrous Republican rule in this country.
I am safe in the knowledge that Barack Obama and Joseph Biden are the two people who are best equipped to help get America out of its current mess.
I feel empowered at the thought of a president and vice president who will value policy and governance over backstabbing and politics.
It feels good to finally make it to Election Day and release the tension & pressure of the last four months. What a crazy ride!
It feels joyful to reject a political party who acts as if intelligence and reasoned thought are infectious diseases.
To kiss off the candidate who chose the most unprepared person in the world as his running mate.
To laugh at a candidate who purposefully embraced ignorance and fear as virtues.
It feels damn good to be enthusiastic about this messy, convulouted crazy thing called American democracy. To believe we actually have a shot at fixing some of the messes brought to us by Messrs. Bush and Cheney. To hope that this is our chance to return the Christian thugs back to their churches and out of policy.

Buckwheat explains Election 2008 to the masses.

Our Man in the White House [The Root]
Favorite part:
He looked around to make sure no one could overhear his whisper.
“Bush is really down with the brothers, and he understands white people’s attitudes. He figured that the only way one of us could win would be to mess things up so much that white folks would decide they had nothing to lose if they put a black man in the White House!”
“You’re saying Bush deliberately screwed up the country to give a black candidate a better chance to become president,” I replied incredulously.
“That’s right,” Buckwheat replied. “And Bush, God bless his soul, delivered more than we ever expected.”
As his excitement mounted, he relapsed into Ebonics and began to shout.
“He de wurst Prez-ah-dent ‘n his’try. He done such a bad job, ‘most any Demercrat cud beat ‘most any ‘publican in dis here ‘lection. Even ah black one! Dat white man throwed hissse’f on de bonfire of his’try to give ah black man uh bedder chance to make his’try! We owes him our eternal thanks for his selfless sacrifice!”

it’s too damn hot for serious contemplation of gossip and silliness.
July 22, 2008 · 2 Comments

Just got back from vacation, where the land was lush and green and pretty.
I woke up to overcast days that were quickly replaced by a sultry sun.
No mugginess, thank God!
A few days away from the tentacles of American television, Internet and a cell phone reminded me how utterly ridiculous American culture is.
Although I relish the moments that transcend the stupid, I know these moments are exceptions. I wish I could say that it’s just the heat that makes me such a crank but after a quick tour of news I missed while gone….it ain’t the heat, it’s the truth that’s got me knocking most things American.
- Dina Lohan. Bad mothers exist all over the world but only in America are they rewarded with a TV show and a showcase for their talent free antics. Dina Lohan STILL wants to be a star so bad, it hurts. And someone is selling advertising on her dire need to pimp her nonexistent talents. I wonder if that someone still has their house?
- I’m voting for Barack Obama because I don’t want to stare at Senator Rigor Mortis’ face for the next four years. Also if one more person brays about how Senator Rigor Mortis is in favor of women having any kind of control over their uteruses, I’m going to scream.
- Bridezillas. The brides to be. The husbands to be. The producers egging these nutjobs on. All should be held responsible. Including me because I’m addicted. I wonder if I can get on Intervention?

Jesse Jackson and castration.
July 10, 2008 · Leave a Comment
The imagery is so insane and I wonder if Jesse knew the import of his words (he must have!) when you consider the historical implications. The reason why lynching parties were so popular was because in addition to the hanging and burning of black men, the attendees had the extra sensory thrill of chopping off black men’s balls to keep as souvenirs.
Marvy, right?
(Also I know women were lynched too but for the purpose of this post, I will focus on the men.)
And Jesse’s speaking so forthrightly is made worse by his willingness to do it in the house that is Fox News. Why would he bring up mutilating Barack’s balls in a Fox studio?
Crazy, right?
If someone said last year that Barack Obama being the Democratic nominee for POTUS would lead a civil rights leader to spew such silliness, I would have laughed. For a solid 20 minutes.
Today, I ain’t laughing.
Somewhere in Jesse Jackson’s mind there is a rage and anger that can not be appeased. Rage at being lapped by a younger rival who can raise money. Anger that his gifts were not enough to ensure his own ascendancy as president of this very crazy, dysfunctional country.
He is entitled to his feelings.
DOES HE HAVE TO VOICE HIS DISPLEASURE WITH OBAMA ON FOX NEWS?
Dead people know that Fox News has a bias…why doesn’t Jesse Jackson?
Jackson has been in the public eye for over 40 years and he hasn’t mastered the media?
WTF?
I don’t believe it was an accident…it was deliberate, malicious and oh so very stupid.
Of course there will be morons who think Jackson’s comments show that some Negroes are rather unhappy with Obama for deigning to be who he needs to be to win this dog and pony show. These are the same morons who would swear out that Messrs. Bush, McCain and Rove don’t speak for their white asses but of course Jesse (and Al Sharpton) speaks for all black people.
Well…
breaking news…
Jesse Jackson does not speak for all black people. Jesse Jackson speaks for himself. Seriously. I don’t want to have anything with cutting Barack Obama’s balls.
Gross.
