HBO’s Tru Blood campaign repulses me.

I understand it’s marketing some vampire show but the idea of marketing synthetic blood to drink makes me want to hurl. Also, selling onesies with the Tru Blood logo isn’t that appealing either.

Five more years of ‘Entourage’?
June 26, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I loved seasons 1 – 3 and felt slightly bored with season 4. The vibe of the show moved away from the gentle mockery of spoiled Hollywood absorption to a more genial celebration of living the good life. Although I loved Kanye West’s cameo in season 4, I wanted more mocking, agent devilry and revelation.
I expect a lot from my TV watching
Storylines I want to see on ‘Entourage’:
Vince signs on to work with the control freak director O. Day Iyengar in his new supernatural thriller, The Not Happening and Johnny Drama tries to get a role on Gossip Girls by pretending to be gay. Turtle looks for girls to have sex with and Eric pouts.
Ari becomes so focused on digging up dirt on his competition for the Agent of the Year award that he ignores Vince’s despairing cries for help to be released from The Not Happening when O. Day’s directing veer into the bizarre and sociopathic. Turtle looks for girls to have sex with and Eric pouts.
Vince walks off the set of O. Day’s movie causing a Tinseltown meltdown and O. Day to hire Ice Cube to replace him in the role. Ari contemplates suicide. Vince and Turtle look for girls to have sex with and Eric pouts.
Johnny Drama’s career takes a dramatic upswing with a Golden Globe nomination while Vince has to face the possibility that he will have to return to auditioning for roles again after three consecutive bombs. Turtle looks for girls to have sex with and Eric pouts.

HBO, Showtime or Logo needs to buy the rights to David France’s article…
April 9, 2008 · 3 Comments
…on Dr. Ramon Torres in this week’s issue of NY Magazine.
France tells the story of Dr. Torres descent from AIDS pioneer to an HIV positive meth addict. The article provides a telling glimpse of the time when AIDS did not have a name but was in the early stages of becoming an epidemic. How easy is it to forget the time when AIDS was not a manageable disease but a death sentence.
The film could be done as a movie or an oral history documentary. All the producers who believe film and television is a tool for highlighting social issues need to get on this today.

What happened on In Treatment in the Jake and Amy session?
March 31, 2008 · 1 Comment
I am a voyeur when it comes to fictional couple issues for a variety of reasons.
One, it’s a convenient method for avoiding my own couple issue. Two, I can pretend that my nosiness about other people’s idiosyncrasies and flaws is somehow helping me with my myriad of issues. Three, since I can’t afford therapy this is the best I can do.
So does anyone know what happened to make Amy cry like she was in a church on Sunday morning on the last episode?

God, I’m going to miss these two men.
I have some fried chicken wings to nosh. I can make it. I can make it. Watching In Treatment to quell my giddiness. It’s not working!
